2018 tax forms

Happy tax day! Federal taxes are due today. There are two implications for LA HAP:

• 2018 tax forms are now the most recent form of tax documentation; therefore, 2017 tax forms will no longer be accepted as proof of income.
      …
• Any client who has received a refund on their federal taxes owing to an overpayment in their health insurance premiums in 2018 owes that portion of their tax refund to HIP if HIP paid their premiums last year. More information is available in our webinar slides. Please remember that this is a legal obligation of all clients receiving Marketplace premium assistance from HIP, and one which they agree to abide by when they sign the LA HAP application.
